PINKERTON, BETTE JO GRAY

Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Friend, and Teacher returned to her Father in Heaven on February 3, 2005 as a result of an automobile accident in Riverside, CA.

Bette was born January 30, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT to Blanche Friel and Clarence D. Gray. Her childhood years were spent in Salt Lake City. While attending West High School she served as head cheerleader. She attended the University of Utah, graduating in 1965 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

Bette enjoyed a 30 year career teaching students not only the required curriculum but tried to enhance their growth by emphasizing character education and respect for others.

She married her best friend, Dale K. Pinkerton, September 7, 1968. Together they raised two loving children and enjoyed in sharing their journey through life. She also found pleasure in associating with her many friends, caring for her pets and gardening. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her loving grandchildren. She attended as many of their sporting events as possible, helped with school work and shared her love of art with them.

The Pinkerton family would like to thank everyone for their expressions of love and offers of assistance during this time of great loss.

She is survived by husband, Dale; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Don Webb; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tomoko Pinkerton; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Brandon and Dylan Webb; brother, Gary Gray; sister, Nita Prosenik and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call Thursday, February 10 from 5 to 8 pm at the Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11 at 4 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5900 Grand Avenue, Riverside. Burial to be Monday, February 14 at 11 am at the Riverside National Cemetery.
